All Through the Night
Sleep my
child and peace attend thee, all through the night – Guardian angels God will
send thee all through the night – Soft the drowsy hours are creeping – hill and
vale in slumber sleeping – I my loving vigil keeping all through the night.
Did you know Psalm 4:8 says we can lie down and
sleep in peace?
I love the lyrics of this song where it says peace
will “attend” us.
In Philippians it says to be anxious for nothing,
to present our requests to God, and peace will “guard” our hearts and
minds.
While the whole world sleeps, when all is dark
outside, when our eyes are shut, and we’re fast asleep – God sends his peace to
take care of us and protect us from fear.
God never sleeps.
He never tires. He never get
weary.
Rest tonight, as you sleep, knowing your Guard is
in the room.
