Psalm 111: Great are
the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
I’m not sure how often I hear anyone use the word “ponder.”
It means to think about carefully.
God’s works in the earth, in our lives, and in the lives of
those around us deserve consideration and great thought. If we delight in the Lord’s works, we will
ponder them – think about them carefully.
If we
don’t ponder them, we often lose sight of the goodness of God in our
lives. He’s at work daily, guiding our
steps, providing what we need, showing his glory in the skies, etc. and if we
just pass over them without taking notice, we get lost in life. We get caught up in our busyness and never
stop to realize how much God is with us and caring for us.
God’s
at work in your life. Stop today and
ponder his greatness to you.

a daily practice to delight in the works of the Lord in your life.
