Faithful & True

This is the last day of our devos on the word “call.”

Revelation says,

I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

Jesus knew his calling, and he knew what he was called.  He was God’s son, called to earth to fulfill God’s love for us – to die – conquer death – and offer that same resurrection power and life to us – his children.

Jesus said that he’s coming again.  And because he is called Faithful and True, we can bet on this fact.  We can bank on it.  We can rest in it. We can hope for it.

All of the injustices that have afflicted us on this earth will one day be righted, because God is a righteous judge.  In fact, his eyes blaze like fire against all who dare to come against him.

The robe he wears is one dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

You want assurance in this life?  You must believe and worship Jesus.  There is no other name by which we can be saved.  There is no other one in whom we can place our trust…and never be ashamed.

He’s coming – on a white horse.

Your Prince is coming.  Your Father loves you.

He is called Faithful and True.  And you are called his child.
