Tis the Season

Deck the halls with boughs of holly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Troll the ancient Yule tide carol,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

See the blazing Yule before us,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Do you like this familiar tune? Just the fa-la-la's are bound to make you smile.  Is your home filled with holly leaves and berries?  Do you enjoy dressing up in your finest, for the holidays? What about a fire in the fireplace?  All of that sets the scene for a glorious Christmas, doesn't it?

However...without the "jolly" part of the season, Christmas is just a bunch of leaves, trees, flickers, and glitter.  After all, "tis the season" for smiles and happiness.

So, if all you've got is the outward appearance of Christmas, but the laughter and smiles are missing, read this verse:

Psalm 68:3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.

God wants you to be joyful this season.  Fa la la la la, la la la la!
