Colossians 1:3 says, “We always thank God, the
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we
have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you
have for all God’s people.”
When you pray for your friends, do you give thanks?
We need each other.
And we need the prayers of our friends, as they need our prayers,
too.
Those who have faith in Jesus are family. And families pray for one another.
Next time you pray for friends/family, give thanks for their
faith. Give thanks that they are part of
your family. And pray that their faith
remains strong.
Prayer is effective, and it’s our privilege to pray for one
another. And prayer can sustain friendships, strengthen families, and lift up the downcast.
