II Chronicles 20:12 O our God,
will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who
are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.
These guys were about go into battle against a big bad enemy
and they were afraid and weak.
They acknowledged their weakness, and they also acknowledged…
Their eyes were on the LORD.
We can spend our moments, days, months and years focusing on
the big and the bad before us – like bills, illnesses, disappointments, and
everything else this life throws at us.
Or we can lift our eyes to the LORD and trust him that even
though we are weak, he is strong. Even
though the big and the bad are scary, he is peace. And even though we don’t know what to do, he
will show us a way out.
He’s like that.
He’s good.
He’s fierce.
He’s the winner.
