Psalm 27:10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But
the Lord will take me up.
There is never a reason to despair even if the most
deplorable thing has happened to you – losing your father and your mother. For whatever reason, we sometimes lose a
parent to suicide, divorce, mental illness or all sorts of other woes. And it’s painful. It’s downright heartbreaking.
God says many times in his Word that we are never alone, and
that he will swoop in and be our protector, our provider, our father, our Lord,
our Savior, our everything.
Being forsaken by someone is one of the worst hurts we can
experience. The sting of betrayal cuts
deep.
No matter the horrible circumstance we find ourselves in, the
Lord can do a miracle of saving grace and make us feel loved again, assure of
safety, and set us in his arms of love.
It’s really true.
He’s that amazing.
