Luke 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good
gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”
Right before this verse, Jesus asked his listeners if they
asked their father for fish (food to eat) would their father give them a
stone? That would be absurd, right? And yet we are far from being perfect parents,
here on earth.
Therefore, it makes perfect sense to realize and settle our
hearts into knowing that our Father, who only gives good gifts to his children,
will give us just what we need – his Holy Spirit – if we only ask.
And His spirit will comfort, guide, and provide all that we
need – never a stone – but always something delicious and satisfying.
Just ask…
