Psalm 8:2
Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold
against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
This may be one of my favorite verses in the Bible!
Have you ever watched children praise and dance and
sing? They do so with a purity of heart,
a spring in their step, and with hearts full!
And this verse says that even the praises of children establish a
STRONGHOLD against enemies.
Are you depressed, despondent, distressed, in despair, and
all of those other D-words, today?
Sing praises with your children.
Listen to children sing.
Observe children at play.
Join in the simple, pure pleasure of a child in the presence
of his loving Father.
And see if the noise of defeat isn’t silenced and the enemy
isn’t sent running back to the darkness from which he came…
