Deuteronomy 28:9
The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised
you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.
The Lord requires that we obey him – which means we are to
love him with all our hearts, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. It’s a simple command, yet full of awesome
promise if we obey it.
When the Lord establishes us, nothing that comes our way can
destroy us. Nothing can overtake us.
Nothing can steal from us. We are
securely fastened to the hip of God.
Many make promises to us and then forget, fail to come
through, or just plain lie about what they will do. And this is disappointing to us.
However, God never fails to come through. We may think he’s late, but he sees eternity
from his perspective and he asks that we trust his keen eye.
He will establish you…IF you keep his commands.
That’s a promise.
