Revelation, last book in the Bible, last verses:
Then I saw a great white throne
and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth
and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I
saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books
were opened; and another book
was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were
judged from the things which were written in the books, according
to their deeds.
Even earth and heaven will flee away from the
presence of God at the end, because they are both in a fallen, tainted state
from that which He created so long ago.
You know, He IS going to create a new heaven and a new earth!
Pretty
exciting…
And then the last verse describes judgement day,
where all will stand before Him and books will be opened, and judgment will
take place.
Those who have encountered his presence, humbled
themselves, repented and followed after Christ will be asked to enter in…
Those who have rejected the presence, the call,
and the salvation offered to them will be judged…
It’s that simple.
We can choose to believe and dwell in his presence
all the days of our lives, or we can miss out on the most enjoying, thrilling
ride of all…that of being escorted into the place where all is good…where the
GOOD and FAITHFUL one dwells…forever.
