That little book of Titus. Have you read it? It mentions that we have hope in eternal
life, “which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time…”
No one talks much about eternal life,
because like we wrote yesterday – we’re so focused on the hope for here and
now.
But we are reminded here that God does not
lie. His promises are as good as gold –
in fact – more certain than gold.
Hope in eternal life really only springs up
in us when we are faced with the death of a loved one, or with our own
mortality. And it doesn’t take long to
realize how short this life on earth really is.
Eternal life. Does it bring you hope?
