In Him

Colossians 1

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Sometimes we need to reaffirm and reestablish who God is, and why it’s SO important to believe it.

God sent his son to allow us to see with our eyes the invisible God, our creator.  Jesus is the embodiment of the one who created all that we see with our eyes, here on earth and above, and all of the things we can’t see as well – emotions, love, joy – and more.  And God is in control of all that he has created, including any rulers and authorities over us.

Doesn’t that bring you great comfort, and make you feel so loved and wanted, knowing that the God of the universe loved us so much he wanted us to experience him with ALL of our senses, even our eyes!?

Everything that has been created was created for him.  We were created to worship Him.

And finally, in him ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER.

I love these verses!

When life gets crazy, it seems the earth and everyone in it are spinning out of control, we don’t have to fear.  God is holding it all together, so that we don’t have to.  Because we can’t.
