Psalm 27:1 The Lord is
my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom shall
I dread?
What do you fear and dread?
I think if we listen to the news very much, we dread the future. Maybe we fear death, loss of a job, or
illness. Fear is a monster that appears
like a shadow on our walls and it looks bigger than life.
However, the Lord is our light and salvation. He’s also our defense against all things
fearful and dreadful.
It’s really our choice and it takes training our minds to
think the truth.
We can dwell on the things that scare us, or we can live in
the truth that sustains us.
I want to daily choose Him, my defender, when I am weak.
