The Beginning

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

I recently did a study on creation and how we can be strengthened in our faith when we pray, just by looking at God’s initial voice in the bible – when he spoke and creation occurred.

On the first day he spoke light into the darkness, and the darkness separated from it.  I love that.  He also speaks light into our darkness when we receive Him into our hearts, dispelling all fear from things that lurk and scare us in the dark.

We too are formless and voice until his voice speaks hope into our lives and gives us purpose.

In the beginning God created and he’s still hovering over us today to complete the work he started in us when we first believed.
