Lamentations 3 says, You came near when I
called you, and
you said, “Do not fear.”
You,
Lord, took up my case; you
redeemed my life.
Oh my goodness, these verses instructing us to not fear are
just some of the best!
Look how many times the word “you” appears here!
Five times in this little verse we are
directed to YOU – to the Lord. It’s such
a personal verse, a reminder that he near, that he is ours, and we are his.
He is never too far away to come when we call.
He comes when we call.
He takes our case – always.
He redeems us.
He says “do not fear,” and we don’t.
How beautiful.
