Hear and Heal

II Chronicles 7:14…and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

This verse is very well known and recited often, when people become alarmed and disturbed at the state of things in our world.  And sometimes, we are moved to pray earnestly and hard and with fervor, for our world and where it seems to be headed…far away from God.

And then we lose fervor, back off, and forget to pray when things are going well.  That’s just the way we often work, as humans, and as we experience life’s ups and downs.

But we need to remind ourselves of this directive and this promise, and never discount the power of obeying His word by praying, in humility, to see our land experience healing of all kind…

Seeking his face can look like prayer on our knees, reading his word, and praising his name and declaring his faithfulness…so it’s something we can do all day, every day, as we live for Him and express our love for Him.

Seek Him.
