Acts 28:
Go to this people and say, You will keep on hearing, but
will not understand; And you
will keep on seeing, but will not perceive; For the
heart of this people has become dull, And with their ears they
scarcely hear, And
they have closed their eyes; Otherwise they might see with
their eyes,
And
hear with their ears, And
understand with their heart and return, And I would heal them.
That verse is sad, isn’t it?
The people in this passage are not experiencing healing because they are
not hearing.
We can go to church and hear the word, but leave the building
and not understand what we’ve heard.
We can hear the music and the praise, and even close our eyes
and get lost in the melodies, and yet never really hear the message of God’s glory and power.
If we do show up, hear and listen and obey what we hear,
respond and repent and believe as we sing, then what will happen?
Jesus will heal us.
