Deut 32:4 “The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
I love that God is called the Rock.
Think about a huge rock.
We have one in the center of a flowing body of water in a town near me,
called the Round Rock. It never moves,
although the water flows around it, rains fall on in, bugs and pests crawl over
it, and the sun beats down upon it. It’s
become an icon, and it’s even the name of the town.
A rock is a great picture for us to visualize God. God too is immovable and upstanding, and
constant – and that’s a comfort to our lives that are always changing, sorrow
that ebbs and flows, and hard times that rain down upon us.
Meditate upon the fact that he is the ROCK and take comfort in
his unchanging ways, and his name that lends itself to wherever YOU live.
God is our Rock. A
firm foundation.
