Philippians 1 says,
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my
every prayer for you all, in view
of your participation in the gospel from
the first day until now.
When’s the last time you offered prayer with joy,
as you prayed for others?
Usually, our prayers include tears for someone
who is suffering or going through a hard time.
However, part of our prayer time needs to include
remembering, and offering prayer (with thanksgiving) with joy, for those God
has placed in our lives to encourage and instruct us.
Remember your friends who have prayed with you
during an especially hard time.
Remember your leaders who have instructed you and
encouraged you to keep the faith.
Remember your family members that have prayed for
you when you weren’t even aware you needed prayer.
And when you remember these people, pray for them
and all that concerns their lives.
As you express thanksgiving and start to recall
those friends and family whom God has given to strengthen your walk, you can’t
help but leap for joy.
So go on…leap after you pray!
