II Samuel 23 says,
‘When one rules over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God,
he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a
cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.’
What are you a ruler over? Your home?
Your office? Your time? Your health?
There are many things we are given for which we are responsible for
taking care of ruling well, including our families, co-workers, how we spend
our time, how well we take care of our bodies, etc.
This verse says when one rules with God as his
head, he is compared to:
The sunrise on a clear day
The new grass after a rain
Pretty cool picture.
What do you think is the opposite? Those who rule ruthlessly and selfishly end
up being a dark cloud to those around them and not something or someone to be
desired at all.
Ask God to help you rule under Him, as unto Him,
in love and righteousness.
