Beautification

Psalm 149:4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.

Job, at one point of his pain, thought God took pleasure in afflicting him with disease and loss.  However, just the opposite was true.

God loves his people and we delight him, he loves  hanging with us, and he loves us enough to transform us into his image.

In fact, when we are afflicted, worn down, weary, and about to give up, he beautifies us with his grace, mercy and deliverance.

And after the affliction, we are changed on the inside which then affects our outside, and others will see and glorify Him.

Pleasure and beautiful – It’s what he enjoys and what he does.
