I Corinthians 15 cont’d:
The sun
has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and
star differs from star in splendor. So will it be with the resurrection of the
dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it
is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it
is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
I absolutely love looking at the
night sky when no clouds are around, and observing the moon and the twinkling
lights against the backdrop of black. It’s
stunningly beautiful. In fact, here we
read that it’s full of splendor.
So if we can take all of that
splendor and beauty in with our natural eyes, why can’t we take in another kind
of splendor? An imperishable one! An honorable one! A glorious one!
All that God does in our lives
is counter to what culture teaches us on earth.
Weakness in our bodies or even
in our spirits, is raised in power when be believe.
Sickness that sends our bodies
to the grave, results in resurrection that soars our spirit to the sky.
Death that comes to visit all,
is overcome with life attained through Christ.
It’s not hard to believe. We just have to choose to do so. Just look at the stars and the wonder of the
galaxy, then accept Jesus and the majesty of his love.
